Amtrak's engine #4934 is a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata by the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "4917" during June of 1942, rated at 4,620 horsepower, inherited by the Penn Central and Conrail, acquired by Amtrak and renumbered "4934", and presently exposed to the elements and rusting away on some siding near Oneonta, New York. |
