| 5.29.1982 Spartanburg, SC. SCL 6065 GP38-2 passes over Southern RY's Broad River Limited steam excursion soon after detraining to water the locomotive. Beneath the overpass is ex C&O 2716 having detached from the train heading off in search of water to fill its tender. The Southern passenger car to the right is the Crescent Harbor, now owned by the Watauga Chapter NRHS. Ironically the 6065 was Re# CSX 2716 during June '88. |
