PRR East Slope Pushers, 1940         
Here is a photo by H.W. Pontin via Rail Photo Service that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in July of 1940. Shown here is a pair of unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives. In this context, they're passing the Kittanning Point Station with a manifest freight train that's rounding the Curve on its way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
