| Not sure but this may be a photo taken by the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific shortly after receiving the 1905 Alco-Schenectady built 4-4-2 Atlantic. Specs - serial #28145, class A-24, 73" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 183,300 lb, tractive effort of 24,699 lb. The class was retired between 1935-37. No date or photographer listed for the photo but I'm betting it was 1905 since each part of this loco shines! |
