CP train 557 rolls west on the Tier, taking its 21 cars past one of the classic Erie semaphores at MP 247. The empty path to the left of the tracks is the roadbed of the Lehigh Valley Auburn Branch, which ran next to the Erie most of the way from Sayre to Owego. It was pulled up after CR startup in 1976. |
