Catskill Mountain Railroad Porter 45 Ton switcher #29 known as "The Goat" sits on the Mt. Pleasant Rip Track, situated in woods nestled between Mt. Pleasant and the Esopus River. The shiny rails in the weeds on the right is, believe it or not, the Catskill Mountain Railroads mainline, which took significant damage during Hurricane Irene, after the storm, the line speed limit was reduced from 25mph to 10mph (less in some areas) and completely shut down the line west of Phoenicia. |
