| CLOVIS NM July 7 1986 -- Santa Fe SD45-2 5693 handles a hopper train on the Transcon. EMD built the 5693 in May 1973. It was rebuilt in San Bernardino CA to an SD45-2u and renumbered to ATSF 5868 in March 1988. Morrison Knudsen performed maintenance on the unit in April 1994. It was transferred to BNSF on Sept. 22 1995. On March 13 2000 it was relettered and renumbered to BNSF 6516. (Roster information from atsf.net) |
