It is usual practice in Livingston to use 5 SD45's or combination of 45's and 40's as the 2nd helper set. This pic was taken during one of those weeks where someone had this great idea that, if there needs to be 2 helpers out the ACe's can get the heavy's (coal and grain) and the small 45 set can get everything else...We'll save fuel!!!. That works great until you have 2 or 3 heavy's waiting at Livingston for helpers. Start to finish from Livingston to Bozeman and back, cut into a train it takes 3 1/2 hours |
