Album Info:The oldest continuously operating railroad mainline in North America. Runs from Asheville, NC, to Spartanburg, SC. (Section from Hendersonville to Landrum closed.) Then from Spartanburg to Columbia and Columbia to Charleston. The section from Spartanburg to Columbia is dark territory.

The unit is a GP10, bulit for the Illinois Central RR in May of 1954 by EMD. The unit was then abondened in Chicage and was finally purchased and rebuilt for the Vulcan Corporation.The unit serves the largest granite quarry in the Southeastern US in Pacolet, SC. Description:  NS P86 passes a cut of MOW cars in the siding at Camp Croft with camp cars in tow. Moments later, P86 would pick up the other cut and take them back to Hayne Yard in Spartanburg, SC. The MOW equipment and camp cars were being used by a crew working on rebuilding the bridge over the Broad River near Columbia on the "W" Line, which was washed out by the 1000 year flood in October.
